Hotchkiss Girls Varsity Soccer Team with Christie Rampone, Three-time Olympian and Captain of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. (Christie is in the red jacket.)
Three-time Olympian and Captain of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, Christie Rampone, her husband, Chris, and 3-year-old daughter, Rylie Cate, visited the Hotchkiss School on October 22, 2008. Following an official tour and lunch, Christie spent the afternoon meeting and working with players and coaches at Hotchkiss.

Prentice Cup at Seabright Tennis Club

The Prentice Cup was started in 1921 as the 1st International Intercollegiate Tennis Event ever held. It stands today as the oldest truly amateur tennis competition played at an international scale. It is a match between a joint Oxford/Cambridge team against a Yale/Harvard team. The competition takes place every two years alternating between the UK and the USA. This year the Cambridge-Oxford Team was victorious.
The Seabright Cup Matches are a competition between the women tennis players from Cambridge, Oxford, Yale, and Harvard. This will be the third competition for this cup, which began in 2004. The Yale-Harvard Team were the winners this year.
The weekend events included both singles and doubles matches on the beautiful Seabright grass courts, a players and host party at our house and a Black Tie dinner at the Tennis club.

This was an incredible two days for the Beacon Hill girls, they were invited to practice at Beezie & John Madden’s farm in beautiful Cazenovia NY. The views were breathtaking and the girls and horses had a wonderful time navigating all the banks, water jumps and hedges. Thank you John & Beezie for giving the girls this experience. Also thanks to Stacia and Max for arranging this special outing
On the Navesink River

The Dolphins in the Navesink River
The dolphins swam into the river early in July. There are 18 of them including 2 babies. We were invited by the Smiths to see them up close on their boat. While we were out on the river I was able to snap a fabulous senior picture of their daughter Grace on her jet ski.
